How to Import a Demo
Simply installing and activating any WordPress theme will not automatically import any content into your site. This is how WordPress works.
When using the PatioTime theme, importing a demo is optional. This is for ease of getting started—when you install WordPress from scratch, you can import some dummy content and pre-designed layouts and styles into your website. You can then replace your own content and adjust some of the layout and colors.

Demo Import Manually
When importing a demo:
Select a demo and click the “Import” button. This may take several minutes, so please be patient and wait for the import to complete. Please do not exit or close the page or click any buttons or links during this process.
Please note: Do not import multiple demos into the same website, as this will create duplicate data.
If you encounter any issues while importing a demo, please contact our support team for further assistance. More details can be found here.

Encounter Issues when Importing Demo?
It rarely happens, but if you have problems importing the demo, it could be due to a number of possible reasons, such as poor network conditions, insufficient website resources, plugin conflicts, server transfer issues, and more.
What should I do if the import fails?
- You can try clicking the “Import Again” button. If the demo import failed due to temporary poor network conditions, re-importing may succeed.
- However, there are many possible reasons for demo import failures. We recommend contacting our support team directly and providing the following information so our technical specialists can quickly check the issue and provide the solution for you.
- Your website URL.
- Your website temporary admin login information.
- Which demo you’d like to import, so that we can help you import the demo.
- Your (or a temporary) FTP account, so that we can check the error log on your website.
- Please open a support ticket at Loft.Ocean Help Center, and send these information to our support team.
