Before adding a Google Map to your page by using the Map Module, you need to add an API key. Because “All JavaScript API applications require authentication<\/a>” (please click the link to check more details on Google Developers official site).<\/p>\n

You can use the API under the standard plan<\/strong> or under the Google Maps APIs Premium Plan<\/strong>. You may want to check Google Maps JavaScript API Usage Limits<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Most websites and applications may use the standard JavaScript API free of charge.<\/strong> See below (click on the screenshot to read the full article):<\/p>\n

To get a key, go to Google Developers Console<\/a> page:<\/p>\n

    1. Log in or sign up a new Google account.<\/li>\n
    2. Create a new project. Name it to fit your project.

    3. Click on Use Google APIs<\/strong> panel.
      \n\"Click<\/li>\n
    4. Click on Google Maps Javascript API<\/strong>.
      \n\"Click<\/li>\n
    5. Click on the blue Enable<\/strong> button.

    6. You need to create credentials to access your enabled APIs<\/strong>. Click on the blue Go to Credentials<\/strong> button.

    7. Find the second drop down list “Where will you be calling the API from?”. Choose “Web browser (Javascript)”. Then click on the blue “What credentials do I need?”<\/strong> button.

    8. Find “Accept requests from these HTTP referrers (web sites)” option. You can enter your site URL, or just leave it blank. It’s optional. Then click on Create API key<\/strong> button.

    9. Now you will get your API key, copy it, then click on Done<\/strong> button.

      When you have the API key, go to your WordPress site dashboard<\/strong> > Settings<\/strong> > LoftBuilder<\/strong> > Google API<\/strong> panel. Paste the API key here, and save settings. Done.<\/p>\n
